He lives in town with his spouse, Anthony, and their 18 year old son is attending Mansfield University. You can email Father here: [email protected]. MISSION STATEMENT We are the diverse people of God walking in the affirming love of the fruit of Mary's womb, Jesus Christ. |
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
An inclusive, loving, and easy-going environment in which to celebrate God's love with the Holy Mass according to the Roman Rite. We are a diverse community of Christian faith and welcome folks from all religious backgrounds who desire to know the love of Jesus and Mary. Mass booklets will be provided. No specific dress is required, wear what you would wear to meet Jesus! Our worship service lasts about an hour, followed by a time to meet new friends over cookies! WHO CAN RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION? All of Mary's baptized children of goodwill who genuinely seek the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, sacramentally or spiritually, are invited to participate faithfully in our Chapel community; regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or gender expression, sexuality, marital status, socioeconomic status, political affiliation, or other blessed diversities. If you desire to be baptized, just let Father Dan know! Please know that no seeker of God will be turned away from the Bread of Heaven. ARE YOU A CATHOLIC PARISH? Yes, we are a parish in the Old Catholic tradition and served by priests of the Society of Mercy. While not under papal jurisdiction, we pray for the Pope as First Among Equals and Bishop of Rome. We are not associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton, but are grateful for all we hold in common with other Catholic traditions. With Pope Francis, we look to a future where all Catholics work together in unity and mercy with one another. You can learn more about our faith tradition at Being Catholic or FAQ. If you haven't been to Church in a long time or if the Church has hurt you in the past, come and worship with us! Christ invites you to the Altar to receive His Body and Blood! We invite you to join Mary's Chapel Family! 🏳️🌈 |
