"The Church is a hospital, and not a courtroom, for souls.

She does not condemn on behalf of sins,

but grants remission of sins."

Saint John Chrysostom

WHAT ARE THE SACRAMENTS AND WHO MAY RECEIVE THEM?

"Christ instituted the sacraments of the new law. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation (or Chrismation), the Eucharist, Penance, the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. The seven sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life:

they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian's life of faith.

There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life."

Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1210

Most Christians, of the Catholic tradition, will experience at least five of the Holy Sacraments, during their life: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance (Confession), and the Anointing of the sick. Many other will also participate in the Sacrament of Marriage. Those who are called and affirmed by the Church receive Holy Orders, in order to become the servants of all. The Sacraments, or Holy Mysteries, are the means by which God pours forth grace upon humanity through tangible signs. Put simply, we come face to face with Christ in the rites of the Sacraments! For this reason, Holy Name of Mary Catholic Chapel, makes the Sacraments widely accessible to all who genuinely seek Christ's love.

Our community is a refuge of safety, under the Blessed Mother's mantle, for all God's children regardless of life journey, gender or gender expression, personal sexuality, marital status, family type, or other beautiful diversities.

Our priest will celebrate the Holy Sacraments in any location that is befitting to the people of God.

Yes, we will come to you!

Truly, you are welcome here for Christ himself, in the Gospel of Luke 8:21, tells us:

"My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."
