"It is Christ himself, the eternal high priest of the
New Covenant who, acting through the
ministry of the priests, offers the Eucharistic sacrifice.
As sacrifice, the Eucharist is also offered in reparation for the sins of the living and the dead and to obtain spiritual or temporal benefits from God."
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1410, 1414
"Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7 NAB
An ancient and venerable tradition of the Church is to present our intentions, our petitions and requests, to God during the Holy Mass.
As Catholics, we believe in the power of prayer to move our hearts and desires closer to that of Almighty God, and to request
that God pour out immeasurable mercy upon us, our loved ones, and upon the joys, sorrows, and challenges of our daily lives.
The diverse pilgrim people of God, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Chapel, continue this tradition, knowing that we are called to pray for one another. If you would like to have your intentions remembered during our sacrifice of praise, please submit the appropriate form below. If your intention is in regards to the living or life situations, please use the first form. If your intention is for the repose of a beloved soul, please use the second form. We are honored to present your petitions before God, with you and all the Saints, as one Body in Christ.
We do not request, or expect, any monetary donation for intentions submitted. We do ask that you pray for us, as we pray for your intentions.
If you would like to offer a donation, for the support of Holy Name of Mary, as a tangible sacrifice attached to your intention, we thank you.
We are happy to offer beautiful Mass Cards for those who desire a reminder of their petition to God.
We do not ask for a specific monetary amount for Mass Card requests. Give as you are able and do not worry if you cannot give a donation.
At this time we are only able to mail Mass Cards and Memorial Mass Cards within the United States.
Thank you for the sacred gift of allowing us to pray with you. We are one Body, one Spirit in Christ, and we do not stand alone!
