"The Christian meaning of death is revealed in the light of the Paschal mystery of the death and resurrection of Christ in whom resides our only hope. The Christian who dies in Christ Jesus is 'away from the body and at home with the Lord.'"
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1681
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep"
I Thessalonians 4:14 NAB
Our community believes that all people of faith deserve a Christian funeral, regardless of how they left this life. The last gift of love we can give to our dead is prayer and the celebration of the Blessed Sacrament in their memory. If the time is drawing near to depart from this life for yourself, or a loved one, please contact Father Daniel to begin planning your funeral liturgy. The Catholic Church offers several options for a Christian funeral, including the Vigil, Funeral Service (with or without Holy Mass), and the Rite of Committal. Cremation or burials are welcomed.
We will work with you to prayerfully create a funeral that honors the memory of your loved one, affirms all God's children, offers hope in the midst of sorrow, and proclaims the salvation of Jesus Christ. We know this can be a difficult time, please allow us to serve you in love and kindness. The individual, who has fallen asleep, need not be Catholic to receive a Christian funeral.
"Death is no more than falling blindly into the arms of God."
Saint Maria Maravillas de Jesus
