Cell Phone RECYCLING Do you have an old cell phone to “get rid of?”  We would love to have your old phones.  Proceeds for the phones go to the Church Building Fund.  Drop them off in the narthex or at the Hospitality Table on weekends or the Pastoral Center during the week.

COMPUTER PRINT CARTRIDGES Remember to save your ink and toner cartridges for Holy Name of Mary—your cartridges bring extra money for our Building Fund!  Just bring them (in good condition) to the Pastoral Center and we will recycle them for cash.  If they are broken they are not accepted. Thank you for your help!

La Verne / San Dimas Meals on Wheels This nonprofit, all-volunteer community service organization delivers nutritious, hot mid-day meals, Monday through Friday, to people living independently but who are unable to shop/cook for themselves and who have no alternative source of meals.  Volunteer drivers work as teams, with one driving and the other one navigating clear and simple routes.  Call (909) 596-1828 for meal service, to volunteer, or for more information.

St. Vincent de Paul is always in need of food to re-supply their pantry.  Single serving pop-top cans are a big help.  The following items are especially needed.  Cash donations are also accepted to support housing vouchers, emergency utilities, and other needs.

Summer Camp—Our St. Vincent de Paul Society will again sponsor summer camperships for needy children age 7-13, who wish to spend 1 week at our Circle V Camp in the Mountains near Santa Barbara.  It’s a wholesome, spiritual experience that will provide memories to last a lifetime.  To sign up a deserving child, call Pastoral Center at extension 110 in the Pastoral Center to obtain an application.  Our Society will pay the entire cost for any child who wishes to attend from July through August 15.

For families that can afford to pay, the fee is $150 per week through the Holy Name of Mary St. Vincent de Paul Society.

We are looking for people to participate in Eucharistic Adoration on the First Fridays of each month.  While the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, it is imperative that someone be in the church at all times. During adoration, we sit before the Lord.  He is truly present to us in the Eucharist. Out of respect (not to mention safety for the Blessed Sacrament) at least one person needs to be present in prayer continually throughout the day.  Adoration is from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm each First Friday.  Please consider signing up for an hour of adoration for the coming First Friday. The sign-up book is in the narthex of the church.
